After months of meticulous planning and preparation, The Olive School, Small Heath is now a reality and will welcome pupils from across the full spectrum of the primary phase when it officially opens its doors on Monday 9th September. Children in the school’s Reception class will be attending school for the very first time, whilst pupils in Years 1-6 will be excited to see their friends after a long summer break and experience the wealth of opportunities their new school has to offer.

Staff have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure pupils benefit from memorable and rewarding learning experiences right from the very start, and they will shortly be attending INSET days, where the focus will be on striving for educational and operational excellence, building a strong Star community and ensuring the school’s vision of ‘Nurturing today’s young people, Inspiring tomorrow’s leaders’ is embraced across all aspects of the curriculum.

Our Principal, Mr Chowdhury commented,

“I want to extend a very warm welcome to our new pupils and their families as they join The Olive School, Small Heath and become a part of the wider Star community. Through working together and striving for excellence in everything we do, I have no doubt that we can build a school that is very special and unique.”

“I’m excited about the immediate future as we get to know our new pupils and help them settle in to life at The Olive School. I also feel privileged that our team of staff have the rewarding job of educating them, nurturing them and watching them grow into the leaders of the future.”
